Researchers from the Institute of Mechatronics and Information Systems at Lodz University of Technology, in cooperation with the Institute of Psychology at the University of Lodz, have developed an innovative tool for stress reduction. Thanks to the cooperation with the City Hall, it may help refugees from Ukraine to overcome post-war trauma. The pilot programme was launched on 7 April at the City Activity Office at 10 Tuwima Street.

The cooperation of Lodz University of Technology with a global industrial partner - ZME EMIT S.A., which is part of the Cantoni Group - opens the door for implementing specially dedicated grants from the National Centre for Research and Development or the European Union.

The project concerns an extremely important topic: data protection in cloud applications. A team of scientists from the Institute of Information Technology at TUL and specialists from the LTC company intend to develop a new technology using artificial intelligence algorithms and Data Science. The National Centre for Research and Development has granted a 2.5 million PLN grant from the Operational Programme "Intelligent Development" for this purpose.

A team of students from the Lodz University of Technology - Lodz Solar Team - operating at the Institute of Turbomachinery, presented the latest version of the electric vehicle - Eagle Two (10.09) in Monopolis. In a few days, on 18 September, the car will take part in an international competition in Belgium.

In a laboratory room she feels like a child in a toy shop. Being passionate about physics, she is now pursuing her doctoral degree at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School ISD. She is part of a research group led by Prof. Tomasz Czyszanowski, where she deals with VCSEL lasers widely applied in medicine or electronics, for example. Weronika Głowadzka has connections with the Institute of Physics at Lodz University of Technology and has been gaining international experience during internships and visits at European universities. Her aim is to create a future technology that would be used to quickly analyze the blood of patients or the air that they breathe.

Food and nutrition technology is a very broad field, and research results improve the quality of life of all consumers. Dr Antolak, from the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, specialises in the use of microorganisms in the production of fermented soft drinks. He also conducts research aimed at preventing their microbiological contamination. He is a holder of a scientific award of the Division IV of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for his doctoral dissertation "Bacteria Asaia spp. as a new contaminant of functional beverages" and 8 papers thematically related to this dissertation.

Until February 14th you could bid for items and services offered by TUL committee. After counting all collected funds, it turned out that this year was a record year for the TUL committee. We managed to collect 345 thousand zlotys!

At the beginning of summer holidays (June 24), a summer school devoted to human-computer interaction will be launched at Lodz University of Technology. For a week, Polish and foreign students will be looking for answers to the question of How digital technologies can support our well-being? The classes will be run by eminent professors from several European and American universities, including: Chalmers University of Technology, University of St. Gallen or James Madison University.

15 years have passed like one day... Today, on June 10th, the Public Secondary School of Lodz University of Technology is celebrating its jubilee. The official celebrations took place in the Performance Hall of Lodz University of Technology (Al. Politechniki 3a).

We know the results of this year's competitions for the Awards of Rector of Lodz University of Technology for researchers and doctoral students. During a special session of TUL Senate, 24 May, the winners will receive awards worth a total of PLN 110 thousand. - Thank you very much for all the competition entries. The President of the Republic of Poland, by the decision of 30 March, granted two titles of professor of agricultural sciences in the discipline of nutrition and food technology: to Professor Katarzyna Śliżewska, and Professor Joanna Leszczyńska. Both nominees work at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences at Lodz University of Technology.

In April 2022, Lodz University of Technology started the accession process to the structures of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Health (EIT Health). The official accession of the university to the European consortium was planned during the meeting of Polish Partners of EIT Health, which will take place at TUL on May 6.

On April 6, the first technological debate entitled "Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a challenge for companies not only from the IT sector" took place. It was attended by invited guests from the IT sector and the representatives of Lodz University of Technology.
