He has been a visiting professor at the Universities: Lincoln, NE USA; Minnesota, MN USA, (Fulbright programme) Uppsala, Sweden (Visby programme); Kyoto, Japan (JSPS programme); Nantes, France (CNRS programme).
He has served as the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Vice-Rector for Science.
