The Foundation of Lodz University of Technology submitted two projects to the competition entitled Scientific Lodz, Academic Lodz 2021: Lodz IT Days 2021 and Lodz students participating in the Solar Cars World Championship in Australia. Both were shortlisted.

The competition organized by the Center for Promotion and Development of Civic Initiatives OPUS and the Foundation Center for Social and Economic Investment received 52 applications. Fifteen projects were selected for implementation.
The Solar Car World Championship project in Australia topped the ranking list. It received the most points. Unfortunately, the information about the results of the competition coincided with the decision of the organizers of the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge to cancel the event planned for this year. As a result, the project proposed by the Lodz Solar Team will not receive funding this year. The students have not stopped working on the latest version of their solar vehicle and believe that the sun will shine for them more than once!
The organizers of the fifth edition of Lodz IT Days can count on PLN 20 000 in grants. IT industry interests almost everyone, and finding someone who has no contact with its products seems to be difficult. That is why the event filled with inspiring lectures and workshops is so popular. Especially that young people have the opportunity to hear about the news and needs of the industry from slightly older, but already experienced in implementing projects specialists from companies associated with IT in the broadest sense of the word.
Lodz IT Days is an initiative of the Foundation of Lodz University of Technology, Lodz University of Technology and ICT Cluster Central Poland. Co-organizer of the Lodz IT Days is the University of Lodz.
