Three student-athletes from Lodz University of Technology will represent Poland at the 31st Summer Universiade in Chengdu, China. Two will compete in swimming and one in athletics.

The two representative swimmers are studying at the Faculty of Organization and Management, are holders of Polish Senior Champion titles.

Jan Kalusowski is studying at the International Faculty of Engineering (IFE) for a master's degree in the field of Master of Business Studies. He will compete in three classic swimming events in the 50m, 100m and 200m.

Marcel Wągrowski student of management and production engineering (second-cycle studies), will compete in the 200-meter alternating style swim.

Mateusz Rzeźniczak is studying for a master's degree in the field of environmental protection engineering at Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering. He is a two-time runner-up in the 400m (2020, 2021). He took 5th place at the Tokyo Olympics in the 4x400m relay. At this year's Universiade, he will compete in the 400m run and the men's 4x400m relay.

The 31st Summer Universiade will be held in Chengdu in early August (1-6.08).
