The flagship TUL research field is "Modern Technologies of Sustainable Development". The field and its topics have been set by the Senate Committee on Science, Promotion and International Cooperation of the Lodz University of Technology.

There are six topics in the flagship research field:

• Advanced material technologies

• Energy, environment and infrastructure

• IT

• Management systems for production, HR and finances

• Biotechnologies

• Biomedical engineering

We are also interested in the topic of Smart Cities.
