He performed the role of the Dean of the Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering and Vice President Research at TU Dortmund University, and was also a member of the Council of the Polish National Centre for Research and Development.
Awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Cross of Merit of Poland. Reviewer for numerous journals and scientific organizations.
