LC gathers a group of experts whose task is to authorize national accreditation committees, and thus enable them to issue a European certificate confirming the high level of accredited education programmes, as well as their compliance with the standards and principles of engineering education adopted in Europe.

Choosing prof. Jacek Kucharski, confirmed unanimously by the Administrative Council, means that he will represent Polish technical universities in the accreditation network for three years, starting in January 2023. He will replace Prof. Bohdan Macukow from the Warsaw University of Technology.

Prof. Jacek Kucharski has extensive experience in the areas of education and quality assurance in higher education. In two consecutive terms, in 2008-2016, he was the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and education at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering at Lodz University of Technology. From 2020, he is the Dean of this faculty. For four years until 2020 he was the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Education Quality and the chairman of the University Education Quality Committee. He also chaired the Field of Study Council for Information Technology and Computer Science Studies.

In the 2016-2020 term of office, he was a member of the Accreditation Committee of Technical Universities and is currently a member of the Polish Accreditation Committee (2020-2023), where he provides expert knowledge in the Engineering and Technical Sciences Team.
