Preparations for this moment took more than a year, also during the pandemic, which clearly showed the potential of online communication tools.
The new version of the university website offers not only a different layout, but also new navigation, content and functionalities. While creating the menu, the website was divided into 2 categories: with regard to the website users - candidates, students, employees, graduates and subject areas - the university, research, education, cooperation.
-Our web address has not changed, but the differences between the old and the new site are immediately visible Lodz University of Technology is a large institution, with thousands of employees and students, with widely developed cooperation, conducting research in many fields. Showing all these possibilities in a friendly and clear way for people looking for information was not an easy task and required a lot of discussions within the university community. I'm glad that as of next Monday the users will benefit from the new website, appreciating its functionality - says Rector prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik.
As he emphasizes, the digital accessibility of the www.p.lodz.pl website has also been given special attention.
- The new website uses standards compliant with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), thanks to which using the website will be user-friendly for everyone, including people with disabilities.
Great effort has also been put into developing the English version of the new service, so that it corresponds as closely as possible to the content in Polish.
