If you have ever wondered how better to motivate schoolchildren and university students to actively engage in their learning, you might be interested in the discussion rounding up the international project led by Lodz University of Technology in partnership with three highly regarded European universities: Universidad de Alcalá in Spain, HTW Saar in Germany, and Universidade de Aveiro in Portugal.

On Monday, February 27, 2023, the Center for International Cooperation will host a conference with the participation of university and school administrators, teachers and all individuals interested in innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The conference will conclude a two-year project e-CLOSE - A Model for Interactive (A)Synchronous Learning in Online STEM Education.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been globally a very consequential occurrence for teaching and learning. The challenge faced by today’s educators is to make informed decisions while selecting innovative tools to activate students. In view of thus defined goal, the four universities engaged in e-CLOSE developed, and now implement and disseminate modern, all-round solutions to support the teaching and learning processes with the aid of advanced IT technologies and tools.

The conference will also feature workshops relevant to the project objectives: Micro-credentials in practice, "Survival Kit" for in-person and distance teaching, Gamification in practice, and Coffee ideas - find inspiration for your teaching strategy.

The project e-CLOSE - A model for Interactive (A)Synchronous Learning in Online STEM Education was funded under the Erasmus+ program for strategic partnerships for digital education in the higher education sector. The grant of nearly €300,000 was the largest single grant awarded under the Erasmus+ call for 2021.
