During the inauguration of the XXII Festival of Science, Technology and Arts in Lodz, on April 17, in the Concert Hall of the Academy of Music, awards were given in the XX edition of the Lodz Eureka 2022 competition. Two statuettes, out of the four awards granted, went to scientists from Lodz University of Technology.

The Council for Higher Education and Science of the President of the City of Lodz, in the SCIENCE category, awarded a distinction to a team of scientists from the TUL Faculty of Chemistry composed of Prof. Łukasz Albrecht, dr. inż. Beata Łukasik, dr. inż. Artur Przydacz, dr. inż. Anna Skrzyńska for developing innovative synthetic technologies using asymmetric organocatalysis.


The second honorable mention in the TECHNOLOGY category went to a team of researchers from the Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics and the Grydsen company, consisting of dr. hab. inż. Adam Wojciechowski, prof at TUL, dr. inż. Jarosław Andrzejczak, mgr. inż. Jan Bełczącki, mgr. inż. Wiktoria Kozłowicz, mgr. inż. Sonia Jach, mgr. inż. Krystian Jablonski, dr Michal Majcherek, dr n.med. Marta Podhorecka, dr Anna Pyszora, mgr Elżbieta Izdebska, mgr Karolina Juszczyk, mgr Magdalena Liberacka-Dwojak, dr n.med. Radosław Perkowski for the development of: GRYDSEN - an innovative psychological tool for therapy of seniors using virtual reality technology.
