Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, said:

The award is a success and confirms that Lodz University of Technology is a university where education creates excellent career prospects for its graduates. Extensive cooperation with companies enables students to gain experience and learn about their own opportunities. In recognition of the importance of internationalisation, we offer studies conducted in English and French, which will open up the European and global labour market. Following the example of our partners - the best universities in the world rankings - we introduce innovative educational methods. For many years we have been developing project-based education, placing emphasis on the implementation of active learning methods, such as blended learning or flipped education, which increase students' involvement in acquiring knowledge. We also focus on the development of the most talented students by offering them mentoring. There are many of these activities, and the received Certificate is an impulse to take further initiatives.

The decision to grant the certificate "University of Leaders" was based on two reviews by members of the Certification Committee. It was chaired by Professor Dariusz Rott, a former member of the Presidium of the Central Council for Science and Higher Education and an expert at the Ministry of National Education, currently director of the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre at the University of Silesia.

The diploma and the statuette were received by Vice-Rector for Education, Assoc. Prof. Eng. Andrzej Romanowski, TUL Prof., during a gala ceremony held on 2 July in Warsaw.
