The agreement with such a renowned partner, implementing many innovative projects, is particularly important for the technical university, which develops and implements the latest technologies. I am convinced that the solutions worked out together will contribute to the creation of a modern Polish and pro-ecological economy. In Poland we employ over 1,300 people in four production plants and logistics centres. What is important for the Lodz Voivodship and Lodz University of Technology, one of our factories is located in Kutno and the other one, which is currently under construction, will be situated in nearby Belchatow. It will be one of the most modern cardboard and packaging plants in Europe, - said Krzysztof Sadowski.
According to the information provided by the CEO of DS Smith, the Belchatow plant will start production in spring 2022 and currently the company is recruiting around 200 workers, including engineers from TUL with various specialisations.
