The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability measures the ability of higher education institutions to meet the greatest environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges. The assessment takes into account external evidence of university engagement - from the impact that graduates have on science and technology to solve climate issues, to the impact of research conducted within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The ranking includes 53 indicators, which are grouped into three areas: environmental impact, social impact, and governance. PŁ was rated highest in the latter, ranking 572nd in the world. More information can be found on the ranking's website.
