I am glad that we will be able to develop competences related to the long-term policy of ensuring the quality of education. The important thing is not what my course gives the student, but how my course contributes to the development of the skills and knowledge of the graduate of a particular study program," says Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, rector of TUL.

The 'Teaching Excellence of the University' project is an opportunity for Lodz University of Technology to develop two models in the area of education quality management. The first concerns the design and improvement of study programs based on the best international practices. -The most important element of this initiative will be the effective implementation of the evaluation system, completing the entire process. This model will be used to create an interdisciplinary field of study in the area of ICT technology management, explains Adrianna Kozłowska, director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning at TUL.

The second project is a new path for developing teaching and personal competences of university teachers using a digital badge system. - As part of the pilot project, we plan to develop several badge classes for five development paths and provide professional coaching to a group of 40 educators, adds director Adrianna Kozłowska.

In total, within this project alone, the Minister of Education and Science has approved 52 applications for funding totaling more than PLN 34 million.

The aim of the project "Teaching excellence of universities" financed by the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development co-financed by the European Social Fund is to support organizational changes and increase the competences of staff in the higher education system.
