On the occasion of the celebrations, the Polish Young Academy - Polish Academy of Sciences invites female students of the first years of studies, to the meeting of the series Become a Researcher. Participation in a free online event with researchers representing various universities in Poland will be a good opportunity to meet young female scientists, for whom work and science are a passion.
During the meeting, Lodz University of Technology will be represented by two researchers: Assoc. Professor Marta Gmurek, Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering and Assoc. Professor Anna Fabijańska, Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering.
The first part of the meeting will be devoted to the presentation of researchers participating in the meeting. The ladies will talk about their scientific interests and work at universities, the benefits arising from the work of a researcher and challenges awaiting women in scientific work - informs Professor Gmurek, Vice-President of the Polish Young Academy, who will lead the meeting and warmly invites you to register. The number of places is limited.
Professor Marta Gmurek thinks that technical sciences should be popularised in a way that will make future young researchers choose such a direction of their scientific career. - I would very much like to popularise among young students of science the academic exchange connected with didactic and especially scientific development - she adds.
In the second part of the meeting, it will be possible to talk to ten female scientists in special focus rooms. The speakers will represent the following scientific units: University of Warsaw, Lodz University of Technology, Silesian University of Technology, Warsaw Agricultural University, University of Lodz, Military University of Technology, Institute of Mineral Raw Materials and Energy Management of Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Agrophysics of Polish Academy of Sciences, Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics.
