The application of Lodz University of Technology submitted by the International Cooperation Centre (CWM) received a maximum score of 100 points! The Erasmus Charter entitles to apply for funds in the new EU financial perspective. Thanks to these funds, it will be possible to implement activities in the Erasmus+ programme, such as student and staff mobility and participation in international educational projects.
The maximum number of 100 points awarded to the application of Lodz University of Technology is an excellent result. The average score obtained by European universities is 76 points - says Prof. Dorota Piotrowska, diector of CWM. - According to the evaluation team, there were several important reasons for such a high score for our application. First of all, the organisational and management solutions applied at Lodz University of Technology were particularly appreciated, which guarantee high quality of the initiatives implemented in the Erasmus programme. The University undertakes many of them in various areas related to education. What was emphasized was the consistency of activities with the adopted strategy of internationalisation.
An important document is the Erasmus Policy Statement adopted by Lodz University of Technology, appreciated by the authorities in Brussels. It draws attention to the need to revise strategic objectives related to the internationalisation of universities and the implementation of a holistic approach to internationalisation.
The policy adopted by Lodz University of Technology for the Erasmus Programme will allow for the future implementation of one of the most important challenges, which is the need to combine activities within the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area. This is of particular importance for the development of the idea of a research university and significant improvement of the reputation of Lodz University of Technology in the international arena.
