A good summary of the achievements of TUL innovators is provided by the recent IPITEX 2023 International Invention Fair in Bangkok. Innovative solutions from our university were recognised by the international jury, receiving nine medals: one gold, two silver and six bronze. According to Dr Monika Kasieczka-Burnecka of the TUL's Technology Transfer Section, who attended the event, the judges took into account the level of innovation and the possibility of implementing the development into industry while assessing.

Among the presented engineering inventions, the jury singled out the technology "Textronic diagnostic system for monitoring vibration levels in seats with increased exposure to vibrations", authored by Assoc. Prof. Eng Michał Frydrysiak, and Zbigniew Pawliczak, M.Sc.

Silver medals were awarded to the following projects:

  • "Bioactive formulation for the production of eco-friendly fabrics with antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties" by Assoc. Prof. Eng. Anna Marzec, and Dr Eng. Bolesław Szadkowski,
  • "GapAware system for cyclists" realised in a team: Julia Dominiak, Anna Walczak, Marcel Bednarczyk, Natalia Bartłomiejczyk M.Sc.

Six technologies were recognised by the jury with a bronze medal. These are:

  • "Obtaining camouflage materials for military and operational purposes" - Assoc. Prof. Eng. Anna Marzec, and Dr Eng. Bolesław Szadkowski,
  • "Low-noise vortex diffuser" - Dr Eng. Joanna Kopania and Dr Eng. Grzegorz Bogusławski,
