The Faculty of Organization and Management (OiZ) at TUL will start the 2022/2023 academic year in new premises. The opening of the Business Zone, as the Faculty's seat is now called, took place last Thursday (22.10).

The Business Zone occupies four floors in the modernised B17 building (221 Wólczańska Street) with 17 modern teaching and seminar rooms with more than 450 seats, computer rooms, 2 conference rooms, a dean's office, staff rooms (24) and 20 rooms for administration.

The Faculty's new premises also include rooms equipped by companies cooperating with OiZ. The rooms have a unique character and encourage meetings.

Attractive chill-out areas and special areas for the activities of student research groups have been prepared for students. The building, which has undergone deep thermo-modernization, has, among other things, photovoltaic panels installed on the south wall and environmentally friendly ventilation inside.

Professor Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska, Dean of the Faculty, in opening the new premises, emphasised the close relationship with companies that brings students into contact with practice and real challenges in management, quality, logistics, sustainability and many other areas. And also well-equipped teaching rooms.

The symbolic opening of the new premises was carried out by Professor Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska, Andrzej Górczyński, a member of the Lodz Voivodeship Executive Board, Voivod Tobiasz Bocheński and Rector Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik.

Lodz University of Technology is in the process of continuously modernizing our campus. Another example is the completed investment for the Faculty of Organization and Management," said the Rector, Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik. - I am pleased not only by the very good conditions created for lecturers and students, but also by the fact that the close cooperation between the Faculty and companies is evidenced by the numerous auditoriums under their patronage.

The new development was revitalized as part of the project. The total cost of implementation was PLN 18.1 million. Of this amount, more than PLN 5.7 million was provided by the Marshal's Office from EU funds.

The Faculty of Organization and Management offers a range of attractive courses of study in Polish, English and French, using modern and active educational methods. In cooperation with the Club 500, it is carrying out a unique project on a national scale, the Certification of Managers of the Lodz Voivodship, the aim of which is to validate the competences of managers from the region.

Since 2017, a Business Council has been operating at the Faculty, comprising companies from the central Poland area with a recognised reputation and economic standing. Together with business partners, it runs unique internship programs: diamond, amber and emerald, dedicated to the best students.
