The official opening was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Łódź Adam Pustelnik, Rector Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, Dean Professor Agnieszka Zakrzewska-Bielawska, representatives of Rossmann and students.
I am convinced that each party sees many genuine benefits in this cooperation, and one of them is undoubtedly the modern zone that has just opened, which can now be our showcase, said the Rector of TUL, Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, thanking the company for the interesting space that Rossman's employees had designed.
We have managed to arrange almost 50 metres of friendly and functional space for joint study and work, mutual inspiration, but also for social meetings or relaxation. We want the students to feel comfortable at the academy and have a place where they can develop their interests- said Ilona Perużyńska-Zych, Rossman HR Director, who was present at the opening.
The event was accompanied by an inspiring meeting with dr Maciej Kawecki on technological innovation. Dr Kawecki is a lawyer, president of the Lem Institute, technology journalist and passionate about innovation. During the lecture, he presented information on the latest technological solutions and explained how algorithms in applications affect our lives.
The organisers have linked the opening of the Development Zone with a community blood donation event and training in first aid and defibrillator operation. According to the organisers, numerous studies and statistics show that first aid is most often given to those closest to us.
The new Development Zone at the Faculty of Organisation and Management is another element of the long-standing collaboration between Rossmann and Lodz University of Technology.
