The document outlining the framework for such cooperation was concluded by Rector Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik and Sławomir Witkowski, Chairman of the Board.

WITKO is a family-owned business based in Łódź that has been present on the Polish market for close to 35 years. It provides complete laboratory design services and supplies equipment that meets world-class standards.

Sławomir Witkowski, Board Chairman emphasized,

‘Polish laboratories are much better equipped that laboratories in many other countries. We supply state-of-the-art apparatus, equipment, technologies, reagents, and we provide consulting and technical support services. As a member of the European LLG Lab Logistics Group, we can now offer more than 1 million products from 700 suppliers. The company also manufactures its own brand of chemical reagents. Our cooperation concerns laboratory equipment, and having access to equipment from a range of different market leaders, we update researchers on the latest developments and technical innovation as it becomes available worldwide. Most of our workers are graduates of TUL and of other Polish universities. A majority of them have a background in chemistry, biotechnology, process engineering, as well as automation and electronics.’

WITKO outfits scientific, university, and government laboratories, as well as those in the pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors.

Rector Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, pleased that the longstanding cooperation has now been ratified, offered the following remarks:

‘WITKO and Lodz University of Technology are going to work side by side for the benefit of both parties, and benefits there are aplenty. are going to work side by side for the benefit of both parties. And as for the benefits, there are aplenty. Starting from all that is required for research work in laboratories to factors vitally important to the educational process. Students need to have access to companies. What I mean by that is internship and work experience opportunities, whereby they get to know the company and the company gets to know them. Also important for mutual growth are dissertations on topics that business finds important to address and investigate.’

Helping to attain a greater understanding of the needs of businesses cooperating with researchers and manufacturers in high-tech fields should be facilitated by what falls under the umbrella term of 'open door' events, meaning visits to production halls, demonstrations of research and instructional equipment.

WITKO reputation is evidenced by the many awards it has won, including Skrzydła Biznesu 2011, Gazele Biznesu 2009 and 2014, Gepard Biznesu 2017, Brylant Polskiej Gospodarki 2017, Dobra Firma 2021, Quality International 2022 - Zarządzanie Najwyższej Jakości.
