At its first online meeting (29.01), the Council of Lodz University of Technology deliberated in a partially altered composition. As of January 1, 2021, it is chaired by dr inż. Mirosław Sopek - MakoLab Vice President for Technology, a graduate of Lodz University of Technology.

The University Council consists of six members. Three of them come from outside of the university. Apart from the new chairman, other members are: dr inż. Tomasz Krysiński - the Vice-President for Research, Innovation and Development at Airbus Helicopters and Dariusz Szewczyk, the President of Radio Lodz.

The other three members are employees of Lodz University of Technology: Professor Andrzej Bartoszewicz, Corresponding Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Head of the Institute of Automatic Control; Professor Wojciech Wolf, Deputy Head of the Institute of General and Ecological Chemistry; Dr. Jacek Sawicki, Assoc. Professor Deputy Head of the Institute of Materials Engineering; and Julia Chojnacka, President of the Student Government at Lodz University of Technology
