Lodz University of Lodz Students’ Self-Government

 

The main task is to represent interest of students on Technical University of Lodz. In that scope, the Council of Students Self-Government on TUL (as a democratically elected representative of students) is closely cooperating with the University authorities and the Administration of TUL settlements in all matters relating to students of Technical University of Lodz. In practice it may be said that Students’ Self-Government acts as students’ trade union and students’ culture maker.

Terms of membership:

The superior condition for becoming a member is a willingness to help other students and being a registered student. Depending on the collective agency of the self-government (i.e. Residents Houses Student Councils, Students Faculty Councils, or Commissions) to what the future member want to apply to, in order to become a member he/she should be mandated in universal, direct, equal suffrage, conducted by secret voting by Students’ Board of Elections once per two years. In addition, at the request of the chairman of one of the collective agency, Student Council may decide to complement that body.

 

Academic Sport Club, Technical University of Lodz

The aim of the Club is first and foremost to take an active part in the sport life of the University. Moreover association works to deepen and consolidate the knowledge of the principles of rational concern for the health and physical fitness determined by systematic training and recreational activities. These objectives are achieved through organizing sport sections and sport teams, organizing sport life among students and employees of the University, participating and organizing sport events and competitions at the University and also outside campus, organizing sports camps, training and tourism.

Possession of a valid membership card - 50zł/academic year

 

Students’ Radio ŻAK

Radio was founded for purpose of creating and spreading interesting radio programs, such as news, interviews, providing information about cultural life and events at the university, in the region and throughout Poland. One of the main objective is a also to provide entertainment such as music suitable and desired by students and not less significant, to give possibility for training for the future media workers.

Terms of membership:

Willingness to assist in creating radio programs and completing the training period in one of the areas that future member wants to participate.

 

Students’ Tourist Club Płazik

Student club brings together enthusiasts of active leisure, those who can appreciate the contact with nature. In addition to organizing and giving opportunities for joint tours, the club is a place to meet people with similar attitudes to life. Moreover, it co-organizes  the Polish Review of the Tourist Songs "YAPA" and the Polish Amateur Water Ski Championships.

Terms of membership:

The Club is open to everybody who like tourism, active recreation, a song by the fire and those who want to get familiarize with those types of spending free time.

 

Academic Choir of the Technical University of Lodz

The mission of the Choir is to represent and promote the Technical University of Lodz, continuing the tradition of choral singing, improving vocal workshop of the members, working for the development of academic culture through activities such as performing at the ceremonies and events organized by the TUL, as well as organizing and participation in cultural events in the country, and also abroad.

Obtaining positive assessment by the conductor and a spoken commitment to attend an ongoing chorus rehearsals (2 times a week)

 

Association of International Cooperation Students BEST

BEST, Board of European Students of Technology is a non-profit and non-political organisation. It strives to help European students of technology to become more internationally minded, by reaching a better understanding of European cultures and developing capacities to work on an international basis. Its priority is to offer high quality services for students all over Europe. Thus, to manage to bring all the partners in the "student - company - university" triangle closer.

Terms of membership:

Passing three-step recruitment process, which takes place at the beginning of each academic semester. The first stage of the verification is to fill out the form available on the Internet. The next step is a case study, during which groups of the candidates have to solve a riddle or a problem. The last step is the interview for those who have successfully passed the two previous stages.

 

European Youth Exchange - Poland

ESN-EYE, Erasmus Student Network is a pan-European, non-profit students’ organization, with purpose to promote the development of international programs and student exchanges, including in particular the Erasmus program, described the best by its motto "Students helping students". ESN activities are such as representing the interests of students participating in the exchange in front of appropriate institutions and to assist them in their daily life (the Mentor/Buddy), close cooperation with the National Erasmus Agency and contributing to the development of the various international exchange programs.

Lodz  University of Technology Motorcycle Club

Lodz University of Technology Motorcycle Club (TULMC) develops sport, tourism and technical education activities among people interested in motorcycles. Its educational activity consists of forming interests of members, club sympathizers and those not associated with cooperating TULMC towards the restoration of old motorcycles, improving driving techniques on a motorcycle, spreading the technical culture and passion for motorcycle tourism.

Terms of membership:

TULMC ordinary member can be any person who has not been deprived of public rights, owns a motorcycle or is a passenger, is interested in tourism and motorcycle issues, has completed a declaration of a membership and has been accepted by the board of TULMC. Supporting member may be any person who supports actions of TULMC.
