On September 4, the rectorate of Lodz University of Technology was visited by Wojciech Pomarański, President of Polskia Agencja Przedsiębiorczości and Małgorzata Gracka, editor of the Forum Przedsiębiorczości. The discussion with the Rector Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik and the former Rector Prof. Sławomir Wiak focused on the problems related to the cooperation between science and business.

Speaking about the Agency's activities, President Pomarański stressed that the key topic is technology transfer and commercialization of research.

A number of examples of projects that the researchers of Lodz University of Technology have done for the industry were mentioned. The discussion was held on the implementation of solutions emerging from the universities and effective promotion serving this purpose.

The purpose of the guests' arrival was also two elements related to the 8th Polish Congress of Entrepreneurship planned on 23-25 November in Cracow.

Rector Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik received a letter nominating Lodz University of Technology to the title of Polish Innovation Award 2020 in the program run by Polska Agencja Przedsiębiorczości and the editorial staff of Forum Przedsiębiorczości in Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Biznes Puls in Gazeta Wyborcza.

The second point of the meeting was a letter to Professor Sławomir Wiak inviting him to the Honorary Council of the 8th Polish Congress of Entrepreneurship. The Congress will gather several hundred representatives of the world of science, business, local government and economic experts. It is an important event not only in terms of exchange of experience, but above all, it provides opportunities for talks with potential business partners. During 20 panels there will be a discussion on the strength of Polish innovations, synergy of science and business, entrepreneurship, knowledge transfer and commercialization, high technology industry or modern business services.
