Only one candidate has been proposed nominated by the university community for the office of Rector of Lodz University of Technology in the 2024-2028 term. Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, who has held the office since September 1, 2020, will seek re-election.

The University Elections Committee at TUL was registering proposals of candidates until the afternoon of March 19. Eleven entries were filed. All of them contained the required documents and proposed prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik as a candidate for the office of rector.

According to the TUL Statutes, candidacies for the office of rector are reviewed by the university's Senate, leaving the final nomination to the Council of Lodz University of Technology.

The elections are due to take place on Thursday, April 25. The University's Electoral College, composed of 111 individuals representing all groups of staff, students, and doctoral candidates, will cast their votes. Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, incumbent rector seeking re-election, will hold a meeting with the university community two days before the voting day, on Tuesday, April 23.
