Prof. Katarzyna Grabowska appointed president of the association of universities for textiles AUTEX

During the annual scientific conference on textiles which took place in Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia, (8-10 June), the board of the Association of Universities for Textiles AUTEX elected prof. Katarzyna Grabowska president for the 2016-2019 term.

The Professor is the first woman to be appointed for this prestigious and honourable position and simultaneously, the first president of AUTEX from Central Europe.

AUTEX is an association of universities with an international reputation for textile education and research. The Association, established in 1994 holding its registered office in Ghent (Belgium), comprises 34 members from 28 countries around the world.

Prof. Katarzyna Grabowska has recently been elected dean of the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design for the 2016-2020 term. She also serves as the editor-in-chief of the international research journal on textiles published under the auspices of the Association of Universities for Textiles AUTEX featuring on the Thomson Reuters Master Journal List.
