In the memorandum of understanding signed at TUL's rectorate (Dec. 6th), the signatory parties expressed their intent to establish cooperation between the academic community and Wielton company with a view to tailoring educational offer of the university to the needs and requirements of the company, among others.
The document was executed by professor Sławomir Wiak, rector of Lodz University of Technology, and Mariusz Golec, president of the board of Wielton SA.
- Due to its dynamic growth, Wielton needs more and more well-qualified engineers, which makes us really happy, TUL's rector, prof. Sławomir Wiak said having signed the agreement. - This is the first form of our cooperation. The next element concerns implementation-oriented doctoral programmes. Wielton's research infrastructure is this area is vast and this is where a number of applied solutions will be developed, including joint patent applications.
The key points of the University's partnership with Wielton include education programmes suited to the needs of the business partner, dual degree programmes, and traineeships as well as joint research projects and grant applications.
- It is only natural that we look for future employees who will contribute to the future growth of the company in Łódź. We have been involved in many activities to train young people so that they could enter the world of novel technologies early on in their lives. For our organization, we need programmers and automatic control engineers who apply the latest technologies to their work, Mariusz Golec, president of the board of Wielton SA said.
