Dr Piotr Leśniewski (Control, Electronic, and Electrical Engineering, no. of publications in 2013-2020: 41; h-index: 5) works in the field of sliding mode control.

His works concentrate on improving system robustness with respect to external disturbances during the reaching phase.

His doctoral thesis, defended in 2016, received a distinction and also won the main prize in the nationwide "Young Innovators" contest organized by PIAP.

He published more than 40 scientific papers, among others in IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology and IET Control Theory & Applications.

His publications received two awards at conferences organized by the IEEE (best paper award and best young author award).
