Dr Ewa Pastorczak (Physical Sciences, FWCI: 1.54; International cooperation: 56%) after receiving her MSc in Physics at Lodz University of Technology (TUL), went on to develop methods of modelling the electronic structure of matter, and in 2015 defended her PhD thesis in Chemistry at TUL.

Next, she started a 19-month postdoctoral research at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland.

Once back in Poland, she received in 2017, a National Science Centre research grant SONATA for young scientists.

She has published in leading Physics and Chemistry journals such as the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation, and the Physical Review, has given 6 talks at international conferences and she has been collaborating with leading research groups abroad (at EPFL, Durham University, University of Southern Denmark) and in Poland.
