Dr hab. Piotr Brzeski (Mechanical Engineering, no. of publications in 2013-2017: 21; FWCI: 1.56; international cooperation: 66.7%; publications in Top 10 Citation percentile: 23.8%) conducts research in the field of nonlinear dynamics and machine construction, focusing among others on innovative computational methods, the dynamics of swinging bells and innovative dynamic vibration absorbers.

He is the author of more than 30 articles published in JCR journals as well as three patents.

His publications have been cited more than 300 times.

He has been the principal investigator of a number of research projects financed by the NCBiR, NCN.

He has been the investigator in many research projects funded by Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

He has completed numerous internships at foreign research centres including: Duke University, University of Aberdeen, and the Technical University of Berlin.

He has received many awards, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland award, two START scholarships from FNP, a scholarship for young outstanding scientists funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the ministerial grant for PhD students with outstanding achievements.
