Kamil Kanas, a student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, won the gold medal in World Powerlifting Championships in Prague. Kamil Kanas, who trains powerlifting in TUL's powerlifting section under the guidance of coach Marcin Laśkiewicz, competed in Junior age category and weight class of up to 100kg. This is the second time Kamil has reached for the gold. Congratulations!

On 30 September, after the inauguration of the academic year of 2013/14, the Factory of 21st Century Engineers, a modern teaching and research facility of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, was officially opened. Prime Minister, Mr. Donald Tusk was present during the opening ceremony as were representatives of the local government, rectors of other universities and numerous representatives of business and industry.

The Rector and the Senate of Lodz University of Technology invite you to the inauguration ceremony of the 2013/14 academic year on 30th September at 11:00 a.m. at the A. Sołtan Auditorium located at Stefanowskiego 1/15. Following the inauguration ceremony, the official opening of the Factory of 21st Century Engineers will take place. The Factory is a modern teaching and research facility of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
