W wyniku 2-etapowej procedury konkursowej na stanowisko Post-doc (Research Assistant) na Wydziale Inżynierii Procesowej i Ochrony Środowiska Politechniki Łódzkiej, w Katedrze Inżynierii Molekularnej, w ramach projektu NCN OPUS 13 pt.: „Nowe nanokatalityczne wypełnienia strukturalne do procesów uwodornienia ditlenku węgla” (UMO-2017/25/B/ST8/00969), komisja rekrutacyjna pod przewodnictwem kierownika projektu prof. dr hab. inż. Jacka Tyczkowskiego, dnia 10 stycznia 2020r., wyłoniła następującego kandydata na ww. stanowisko: dr Szymon Malinowski.

Nazwa stanowiska (Position): Post-doc (Research Assistant)

Wymagania (Requirements):

• Education: PhD in chemistry, nanotechnology, material science, chemical engineering or related fields; PhD graduation no longer than 4 years ago;
• Background: heterogeneous catalysts, surface science and nanoscience, molecular and structural design of new materials, computational chemistry, molecular engineering;
• Familiar with some of commercial computational chemistry software;
• Publications: at least three publications in journals from JCR list;
• Foreign experience: at least short-term fellowships in foreign research institutes, active participation in prestigious international conferences (with own presentations);
• Languages: fluency in English;
• Previous experimental training in catalyst testing and characterization, as well as experience in computational modeling in heterogeneous catalysis are highly desirable.

Opis zadań (Research tasks):

• Understanding the fundamental factors that determine the catalytic properties of the plasma-deposited thin films designed for CO2 hydrogenation into valuable compounds;
• Establishing the relationship between the structure and catalytic activity of the produced nanocatalytic films;
• Study of nature and modeling of catalytically active sites in the thin-film nanocatalysts;
• The quantum chemical study of the reaction mechanism of CO2 hydrogenation over novel nanocatalysts;
