TUL's researchers co-create reality

Lodz University of Technology is where innovation is  created for many different socio-economic applications. Technologies developed here address many needs and at the same time, lay the groundwork for many commercialization and implementation projects.

To this end, the Centre for Business Cooperation, Innovation, and Technology Transfer operates at the University to provide support for researchers at all stages of their work. The Centre includes the Office for Intellectual Property Protection whose staff - patent agents, prepare patent application documentation, file for industrial property rights for the creations developed at the University, and represent the University before patent offices in obtaining exclusive right protection.

Lodz University of Technology has always been one of the leaders among Polish universities in the number of patent applications, patents granted, and utility models registered. Between 2014-2018, the researchers of Lodz University of Technology:

•  filed 422 patents and rights of protection,
• were granted 402 patents and rights of protection.

Behind these numbers stand unique and ready-to-implement innovations which enable entrepreneurs to grow their business, expand the range of products and services without the need to invest in research and development activity and infrastructure.
