TUL in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings



The results of the latest edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 have been published (2.09). 1527 universities from 93 countries are included on the list. From Poland, 19 universities are classified, including Lodz University of Technology.

 

The first place, invariably for 5 years, is held by the University of Oxford. The other two podium places belong to Stanford University and Harvard University. As in previous years, the Jagiellonian University was the best in Poland, ranking in the 501-600 range and recording growth. In the previous edition, it was in the range of 601-800. The University of Warsaw and the Medical University of Warsaw took places in the range of 801-1000. The remaining 16 Polish universities, including the Technical University of Lodz, were classified on the 1001+ places," informs Justyna Kopanska from the TUL International Cooperation Centre.

 

Times Higher Education World University Ranking is one of the most recognized and valued rankings in the world. It is created in cooperation with Thomson Reuters agency. The classification is based on 13 indicators that focus on 4 areas: education, research, knowledge transfer and internationalisation. Lodz University of Technology was classified in this ranking for the first time in 2017.
