General information about the Rector's scholarship for students of Lodz University of Technology:

The Rector's scholarship for students at Lodz University of Technology may be sought by a student in the second year of first-cycle studies or in the first semester of second-cycle studies.

The Rector's Scholarship for students in the first year of first cycle studies may only be granted to a student admitted to the first year of studies in the year of taking the Matura exam, meeting the following conditions:

  • who is either the winner of an International Olympiad, or the winner or finalist of a central level Olympiad, as referred to in the legislation on the education system, or

  • who is a current medalist in at least the sport competition for the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, as referred to in sports regulations.

The Rector's Scholarship for Students may be awarded to a student who has achieved outstanding academic performance in the previous academic year, has academic or artistic or sports achievements in competition at least at national level.

The list of points awarded is included in the relevant Appendix No. 1 to the Regulations.

Scholarships are awarded within the so-called ranking groups. An independent ranking group is formed by

a) students of an organizational unit providing education, studying in the same field of study, in the same modes (full-time and part-time studies);

b) students pursuing a study program at the International Faculty od Engineering, studying the same field of study;

c) students of the first semester of second-cycle study at an organizational unit providing tuition, studying in the same field of study, in the same modes (full-time and part-time studies);

d) students enrolled since the summer semester who have completed one semester of study in an organizational unit providing education, studying in the same field of study, in the same modes (full-time and part-time studies)

Scholarships are awarded to a maximum of 10% of the best students of a given field of study who received the highest number of points in their ranking group, however, not less than the point threshold established in a separate Announcement of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs on the amount of individual types of benefits.

The scholarship is granted for an academic year.

Detailed rules of granting the Rector's scholarship are included in the relevant regulations.


The amount of the Rector's scholarship at TUL:

1) The amount of the awarded scholarship may consist of two parts: the basic amount and the amount of the increase of the scholarship. The value of the basic amount is fixed for all scholarship holders and is independent of the number of ranking points and place on the ranking list.

2) The increase of the scholarship is granted to the scholarship holders who have been awarded the rector's scholarship for the best students and who have obtained one of the two highest ranking points in a given field of study (within the basic organizational unit/IFE).

3) The amount of the scholarship:

a) basic amount - PLN 600 per month;

b) increase amount - PLN 400 per month.

Submission of applications:

Applications for the Rector's scholarship should be printed out through Webdziekanat and presented, together with the necessary attachments, in the Dean's Offices of the faculties where interested persons study. Students undergoing training within the framework of the IFE submit their applications to the Dean's Offices of their home faculties. The Committee may call upon the student to clarify the evidence. After receiving an opinion, applications are sent to the Benefits Service Section, 10/12 Ks. Skorupki Street.

Students in their first year of first-cycle studies fill in the application form attached below and submit it to the Dean's Office in October.
