The French Embassy in Warsaw invited representatives of the French community and other persons dedicated to the development of Polish-French relations, representing the intellectual and cultural elite.
In his speech, President Macron stressed the special role that Poland plays in the geopolitical and socioeconomic terms. An important theme of the speech was the development of Polish-French cooperation in the field of technological advancement. The President emphasized cooperation in science, research, and education. He also referred to climate issues, calling for the establishment of partnerships at various levels to develop sustainable practices in Poland.
During the meeting, President Macron was able to talk to Rector Sławomir Wiak for a longer moment. The conversation concerned plans for further cooperation in science and education and the need to create opportunities for collaborative projects with French industry.
The Rector spoke about joint projects between the university and Airbus Helicopters and assured the President of the University's resolve to continue its long-standing cooperation with France. President Macron expressed his appreciation for Lodz University of Technology as a leading Polish university fostering cooperation with French higher education institutions, whose students and staff come first in Poland in the volume of mobility to French universities and business organizations.
The Director of the Centre for International Cooperation, dr inż. prof. PŁ, Dorota Piotrowska, was also among the guests invited to the Embassy.
