Minister Gowin presented scholarship grants to TUL’s best students



For the fourth time, the competition of the Foundation of Lodz University of Technology for  scholarship grants for the best students has been decided. 11 laureates were presented with symbolic cheques by the minister of science and higher education, Mr. Jarosław Gowin, during a festive gala.

The scholarship grants are for 5 000 zloty each and are expected to be used to further the development of the distinguished students. Due to the great popularity of the competition and the development prospects it promises the laureates, the Foundation of Lodz University of Technology will continue the undertaking - president of the Foundation, Mr. Włodzimierz Fisiak, declared.

The following students won the scholarship grants:

  • Krzysztof Fudała - the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering
  • Karina Rejs - the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering
  • Piotr Krawiranda - the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering
  • Michał Bystrzejewski  - the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
  • Michał Wilczek - the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering/IFE
  • Damian Wroński - the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering
  • Łukasz Chlebowicz - the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering
  • Monika Kamocka - the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
  • Jakub Forysiak - the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering
  • Paulina Pędziwiatr - the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering
  • Piotr Sokołowski  - the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental Engineering

 

Dr Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Minister of Science And Higher Education, was a guest of honour during the gala, which took place at the International Faculty of Engineering on Wednesday, 21 March.

 

The scholarship grants were funded by: the Lodz Special Economic Zone - 6 scholarships; Łódzka Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego SA – 2 scholarships; ICT Polska Centralna Klaster – 3 scholarships.

 

53 students from various faculties took part in this year's edition of the competition. The winners were selected by the competition by a panel of jurors presided over by the rector of Lodz University of Technology, professor Sławomir Wiak.  58 scholarship grants have been awarded to date in the previous editions of the competition.
