The diploma of the winner of the LUMEN competitions was presented to dr inż. Dorota Piotrowska, University Professor, Director of the CWM and the leader of the award-winning project "The Establishment of the Centre for International Cooperation of Lodz University of Technology. The first, two year’s stage of the Centre's operation".
The award-winning Lodz University of Technology project involved instituting the CWM in July 2017 and implementing a new paradigm of management.
- The first, two years’ stage of the project is complete. Our goal was to significantly increase international reputation of TUL. We have managed to accomplish it by, among others, introducing a strategy for international institutional and program accreditation and for international rankings with the participation of Lodz University of Technology, Sławomir Wiak, TUL rector explained. – CWM has won 16 accreditation grants and has significantly bolstered TUL’s presence in international rankings. In the two years, our engagement in innovative educational, organizational, and promotion projects of international reach funded from various external sources has expanded. In collaboration with experts from Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Olin College, an innovative curriculum has been introduced based on the concept of flipped learning.
The LUMEN competition is organized by the prestigious consulting and technology institution PCG Academia in cooperation with the Polish Rectors Foundation. The Chapter is composed of eminent representatives of the academic world, management practitioners and business representatives.
