Admissions for studies at TUL in the academic year 2022/23 will begin on June 15. The university has prepared 5390 places for the first and second-cycle studies, and additionally 760 places for foreigners.

During the Polish Science Day gala (19.02) the laureates of the Minister of Education and Science Awards were announced. Two outstanding scientists from Lodz University of Technology were awarded: Prof. Jan Awrejcewicz for lifetime achievements and Prof. Jacek Banasiak for scientific achievements.

This year's winners of the competition held by the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Łódź are mostly representatives of Lodz University of Technology. The year 2021coming to its end brought many successes and unique events to Lodz University of Technology, often of a remote nature. Most competitions, open days and events were still held online. Despite pandemic restrictions, we sometimes managed to meet face-to-face at university events, which after a long period of not seeing each other made everyone very happy. Our researchers and students have won numerous awards and medals for their scientific and sporting achievements. I have repeatedly expressed my wishes and, at the same time, my hidden desire to return to normal work, face-to-face education and to at least try to forget about the coronavirus threat as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the current situation does not make it possible to fulfil these wishes in full. The virus is still very aggressive, mutating and taking more lives.
