HR Excellence in Research award renewal for TUL



Having approved its Internal Review on its Action Plan for 2018-2021, the European Commission has granted Lodz University of Technology HR Excellence in Research award renewal.

 

- HR Excellence in Research proves that Lodz University of Technology follows the needs of researchers and strives to provide them with the best conditions for their research work. Additionally, it further enhances the University's standing in the international community as a credible and trustworthy partner who offers high standards of recruitment and attractive working conditions for researchers - prof. Sławomir Wiak, rector of Lodz University of Technology, said.

 

The European Commission reviewed the application submitted by Office for the Strategic Development of the University and Human Resources. The application included internal analysis of actions undertaken to implement the HR Strategy for Researchers, revised Action Plan for 2018-2021 as well as the guiding principles for its OTM-R policy (Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment).

 

 - The Commission approved of the ideas proposed by TUL and the commitment of its top administrators to the implementation of actions and procedures with respect to researchers, and emphasized the usefulness of the website providing information on the topic in Lodz University of Technology - Barbara Konarzewska, a specialist in the TUL's Office for the Strategic Development of the University and Human Resources reported. - So far, The University has benefited from being recognized with the HR Excellence in Research Badge by being awarded extra points in the statutory evaluation and easier access to Horizon 2020 European grants.

 

Lodz University of Technology is the first university of technology in Poland to have implemented the HR Strategy for Researchers. The first award of the Badge was in 2016.
