On Tuesday ( December 3rd ), a meeting of young people from Wieluń was held with the participation of Professor Sławomir Wiak, TUL's rector, and Mariusz Golec, president of the board of directors of Wielton, followed by the presentation of awards to the winners.
More than 200 high school students took part in the Wielton GO game, 50 of whom met in the finals in Łódź. Three of them won bikes and bike accessories. The winner of the competition was Piotr Szkudlarek from LO II. Monika Kalemba and Aleksandra Preś, both from the Zespol Szkol nr 1, came in second and third.
The game was addressed to Wielun high school students. It was developed in cooperation with Lodz University of Technology. The objective of the game was to build and sell a virtual trailer at a profit. The interactive character of the game was supposed to demonstrate to young people what it is like to work for Wielton.
Students of Lodz University of Technology also benefited from this visit. Wielton, as part of its cooperation with the University, conveyed a Panasonic industrial robot to the teaching laboratory of the Institute of Mechatronics and Information Systems, TUL.
Robot manipulator YA-1 AR81 A manipulator is a type of a robotic arm, indispensable in many automated processes and used whenever it is necessary to replace the human arm. It will be used during laboratory classes with students pursuing various degrees but students studying mechatronics will be the first to have it available during their Fundamentals of Mechatronics course.
