The agreement was signed by prof. dr hab. inż. Tomasz Kubiak, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and Krzysztof Hauk, General Manager Kongsberg Automotive Pruszków. Under the terms of the agreement, Kongsberg will facilitate the uptake of science and research findings. A joint research and development project is also underway.

Łukasz Kaczmarek, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, who will coordinate the implementation of the agreement.
GUS (Central Statistical Office) data indicate that employment in the automotive industry has been steadily increasing in Poland since 2010, and currently, amounts to nearly 200 thousand workers (source: Polish Automotive Association). According to the 2015 Salary Survey in Poland, it is the fourth highest paying industry in the sector of heavy industry.
Kongsberg Automotive Pruszków is one of the leading manufacturers of automotive accessories and equipment in Poland. It manufactures products for well-known automotive brands such as Porsche, Bentley, Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW and many others. The plant uses advanced technologies and complies with the highest standards applied to the automotive industry. The company has an in-house research and development department in Poland, and, based on the contracts that have already been signed, plans to increase its sales by 350 million złoty in 4 years.
