The following persons took part in the signing: Oliver Giersberg, BSH Board Member, Konrad Pokutycki, director of the Łódź plant and president of the BSH Board in Poland, and rector Sławomir Wiak, who represented Lodz University of Technology.
- This is an example of an agreement which are proceeding with in a different manner. A steering committee and workgroups have been established, which raises the likelihood that the collaboration will have an impact on education as well as on research and development activities. Our cooperation with such an esteemed partner as BSH is an excellent example of successful interaction of a university of technology and industry – prof. Sławomir Wiak, rector of TUL, said.
Under the provisions of the agreement, dual degree programmes, joint innovation projects, and research and development project are envisioned. These projects would be submitted to the National Centre for Research and Development as grant applications.
- This agreement should be used as a model for other companies and universities. As part of this cooperation, we are extending our internship programmes for students and PhD students. TUL and we have together identified areas where we could help each other and learn from each other – Konrad Pokutycki said during the signing.
TUL and BSH discern a specific form of cooperation in the following areas: mechatronics, mechanical engineering, automatic control and robotics, computer science, electronic engineering, telecommunication, production engineering, materials engineering and composites.
