Adamed Clinic is a public health care provider in the Univeristy Campus. It covers wide range of medical and dental services. Nevertheless, free dental services are available only in the restricted scope. Students have to cover costs of over standard services and materials on their own.
One can also visit private clinics and laboratories (often very expensive), whose addresses and phone numbers are easily reached in daily newspapers.
Primary health care comprises examination and consultation by a general practitioner. A doctor may also refer you to diagnostic tests, to a specialist or to a hospital.
The prescribed medicine must be bought at the chemists' (Apteka). They open during the normal business hours, however, there are some that cover late and night openings, Sundays and public holidays.
In case of an accident, injury, sudden illness or sudden deterioration of the state of health you should call an ambulance (dialing 999 or 112) or go directly to a hospital.
