Lodz University of Technology, unlike other Polish universities, has a 37-hectare campus in the heart of the city, modern pavilions as well as revitalized, post-industrial buildings surrounded by lush greenery. Former villas and palaces of industrialists of a bygone era next to steel and glass structures.

The university is effectively pursuing sustainable development goals, including developing the idea of Smart Campus. Intelligent solutions allowing for the efficient use of energy have been installed on Campus A. A system of sensors monitoring the state of air quality is also in operation, thanks to which TUL premises has been included in the national air quality monitoring system supported by Veolia.
