The responsibilities of ECTS Institutional Coordinator
- the role of the advisor for the implementation of ECTS system at Techncial Univerity of Lodz both for local and mobile students,
- monitoring of the proper implementation of ECTS system at TUL.
ECTS Faculty Coordinators:
Vice-deans for student or education affairs of the given faculties, they are in the power of recognizing the study periods abroad.
ECTS system at the TUL
The Technical University of Lodz, in order to make the system of studies more transparent, fully implies the ECTS system. The credits are given to all the students, both outgoing, incoming and not mobile, on the basis of the student's workload and are connected with the learning outcomes. The amount of credits which are given depends on the level of studies at which the subject is conducted.
Furthermore the ECTS system facilitates the recognition of study periods both for outgoing TUL students and incoming students.
In order to facilitate the exchange of students, TUL uses the ECTS documents: Learning Agreement and Transcript of Records. The process of recognition is based on the Transcript of Records and the full recognition is stated in the document "Uznanie okresu studiów za granicą" (Recognition of the study period abroad) which is signed by the dean of the student's faculty and vice-rector for students' affairs.
For incoming students the Transcript of Records including the number of ECTS points is issued.
TUL also recognizes the study periods abroad realized in the partner universities which do not use ECTS system.
